| FotoFinder dermoscope: Fluorescence diagnosis
Fluorescence diagnosis (FD) is an impressive method for the delineation of cutaneous precancerous stages and tumors from healthy skin. The FD lens of FotoFinder dermoscope can be easily integrated into your practice workflow. After application of a photo sensitizer (e.g. 5-ALA) you can detect even early stage actinic keratoses and basal cell carcinomas. Subsequent image storage in the database makes it easy to control the tre atment success and apply photodynamic therapy (PDT) or surgery.
A darkening cloth is delivered with the lens and makes a darkroom or Wood's lamp unnecessary. Thanks to the FD-lens's white and ultraviolet LED lights, one colour and one fluorescence image can be taken and stored in the database at the same scale.
At a follow-up visit the treatment success can be clearly visualized and controlled thanks to the photo documentation.
